Hi Chelsea, thank you so much for joining us on the blog today. We are huge fans of Well and Happy chocolate, what initially inspired you to start your own company?
When I trained as a Kinesiologist and had a real deep dive into how food and nutrition affects our health and wellbeing. From here I decided that I loved it all so much, I wanted to be a part of it all from a career perspective! Plus life too short not to do what makes you happy – and the corporate world certainly wasn’t leaving me very happy!

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learnt since starting up?
Gosh – so many! My biggest has probably been to lean in and go with the flow. Goals, visions and expectations change so much when you’re starting up a business and I certainly never expected Well + Happy to evolve into what it has today – but I’m delighted that it has!

What is your favourite sweet treat that you sell?
At the moment i’m hooked on my Midnight Dark bar, its 88% cacao – so super rich and intense, with a sprinkle of celtic salt. IChunky Monkey comes a close second – its my favourite on porridge in the morning!
Do you regret taking the leap to start your own business?

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Coffee. I’m a huge coffee fan and love starting my day with a strong black americano… although I don’t feel guilty about it for one second 😉

Describe to us a typical day in your life.
I love to start my day with exercise when I can, at the moment i’m doing some early barre classes, but yoga or a run are also my favourite ways to get going. Then its porridge time. I could eat it for all 3 meals of the day i’m that obsessed. My staple is just with water, with some added turmeric, cinnamon, vanilla and banana – topped off with a cube of raw chocolate!

What’s your favourite thing to do on a day off?
Something fun and random! Lately days off have included – indoor rock climbing and sea kayaking (very cold!), but I also love chilling out in a coffee shop, enjoying an amazing brunch with great company

City or countryside?
At the moment I’m all about the city

Aside from chocolate, what’s your favourite food?
PORRIDGE!

If you weren’t in the food industry, where do you see yourself working?
Now I’m in a startup – it would have to be a startup for another industry. Its such an exciting time to be with a company and to be part of creating growth! I like the idea of doing something to make an impact on the planet – so something in sustainability maybe! Or i’d go back to studying to become a marine biologist – a childhood dream of mine!
