Noemie Paris By Vegan

Hi Noemie, thanks for joining us on the blog today.

You’re a huge inspiration to us both. We love your instagram. Have you always enjoyed photography?

Oh yes i’ve always loved photography, my father was teaching photography when I was a kid so he told me a lot about it, I remember our long weekend walks in Paris taking pictures after pictures.

How does it feel to know that you are inspiring so many people?

It’s cray cray! 🙂 I’d never imagined to be able to succeed and to spread the vegan message to so many people but to be honest, personally I feel quite the same as at the beginning of this adventure, always nervous about posting something, and always amazingly surprised when people like it!

Do you run your blog full time, or do you also have a day job?

I’m a graphic designer / web designer 😉

Tell us a secret about yourself?

Mmmm… I don’t like kombucha, like not at all 🙂

What was the reason for starting ‘parisbyvegan’?

At first it was to stay motivated to keep being healthy, I was committed to post almost every meal to keep me pumped up, and then when people reacted so well to it it was a great plus, some started to ask for recipes, so I created the blog and then the ebook.

You’re living in Paris right now, but if you could move anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

Probably Australia especially Gold Coast, where there’s always warm weather and there are so many people I want to meet there 😉

• • • •

Where’s your favourite place to visit in Paris?

Le Marais, I feel at home in this area, there are so many gorgeous historic houses, secret little parcs, I love this place.

Do you have any good foodie recommendations?

For restaurants I recommend the 10th area which is bursting with new vegan places, like Le Tricycle, Las Vegans, Café Pinson… And the 11th where I live with Dune every Thursdays night and Marché d’Aligre my favorite market.

Your Ebook has been a huge success, did you ever think that blogging would lead to writing a book?

Not at all, it’s a great adventure, honestly I feel so rewarded by people trying my recipes in the book, when I was working on it I would never have imagined it was going to be such a success, now it’s time to work on another one 😉

Have you made any real friends through your social platforms?

Yes a few, and it’s the best about social media especially Instagram, it’s so inspiring when it clicks with someone in real life, that you’ve been virtually exchanged before, really the best thing.

To someone starting their own blog, what advice would you give them?

Be happy with what you do, do it to please yourself it’s the best motivation. Be yourself, and be passionate, try to connect with others by social medias, and the rest will follow.

If you hadn’t started parisbyvegan, what do you think you’d be doing?

Gosh I don’t know, it’s not like my life was boring before but now it’s like I really find a purpose, I’m passionate about spreading that vegan lifestyle, the best positive way I can, and I know what I do is necessary for the planet and the animals. Quite the motivation!

Are you a risk taker? If so, what has been your biggest risk?

I don’t know, is taking time for a blog and writing an ebook is a big risk? I wouldn’t call myself a risk taker, but I like to try thing and see how it goes, everybody has his own rhythm. This society wants you to fit in a certain place and don’t move from it, so I’d say I’m happy to be able to change things at my own rhythm, it brings me more balance and I’m stronger at this than taking a big risk.

Where do you see yourself in two years time?

I’m going to keep blogging, writing books, I have a t-shirt collection to come and many other projects, but I hope I’ll be able to live part time in the country and part time in Paris. What’s great about this blogger lifestyle is that it’s full of surprises, new collabs, and fun things to do so I’ll keep an open space for them.
